Our friends, who also happen to be twin brother and sister, recently lost their grandfather who passed away unexpectedly. Over the years I have heard many stories from them about visiting their grandparents at their vacation home in Hawaii. I'm hoping these pens will remind them of some of the good times with their grandparents in Hawaii.

I got the curly koa blanks off of eBay, and this is the first time for me working koa. I'm not sure what to look for in koa, but seems like a good amount of chatoyance - so I suppose it truly is curly...

Sam, be proud of doing a great kindness with two very handsome examples of the craftsman's gift (both hand and heart).

Our Tasmanian Blackwood (supposedly) related gives this effect I liken it to shot silk ties they both shimmer and come up a treat with a polished appearance.

Two great pens should do the trick with you twin friends.

Peter.

I have some Golden Wattle en route from George, which I think is related also. I will be adding Tasmanian Blackwood to my wish list, thanks for the heads-up.
