Koa, Corian, and Paua Shell Segmented Statesman

HI guys,

Here is another one of my older segmented pens. This has an older CA finish I use to use. I segmented the Koa and corian and I used Paua Shell and turquoise as accents.

Beautiful pen Aaron , I really love your segmenting work and the Paua shell really puts it over the top .

Fantastic segmenting, I would prefer a straighter profile on the lower barrel so it matches the cap, just my 2 cents! :good:

I made the concave in the cap match the convex in the body. It's kind of hard to see.

I'm just beginning to enter the world of segmenting. I hope to figure out this photo thing soon so I can share what I have been producing; for better or worse. I like the segmented pens I have seen from you. Koa and Mango also seem to be really good woods to use.

Question: When you say "an older CA finish", what do you do now?

Really? That's a new concept to me. It comes out nice. The only lacquer I have use is the fast drying spray that I would not use on pens.
