This is a pair of knurled aluminum body pens I made. These will be a gift to my machining instructor and the lab assistant at the end of the semister. The pen guts are a wallstreet 2 pen. The pen body is 6061 aluminum with the hold drilled to 25/64" which eliminates the need for a tube.

Very nice. Would you care to share how you did the knurling???:usflag:

It was a knurling tool on a metal lathe. size, knurl, drill thru hole, part off, assemble.

Thanks. Was there anything special you needed to do to get that done??? I have wood knurling tools and wonder if they would produce the same results??? May have to give it a try some time.

Nice Pens, Nick.
The Knurled Pen Body, gives quite a Distinctive Appearance.
Did you have to Polish or Sand the Aluminium after you used your Knurl Tool, to remove any sharp edges of Aluminium lifted by the Knurl Tool?
Congratulations,
Brian.
