I just finished up this commission. My large cigar type in Molten Seas alumilite resin with bronze accents and clip, and a gigantic #8 18k nib. I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out. I'd never used the Lava series alumilite blanks before, and I must say I was impressed with how well they turned. This was also my first time using a #8 nib, so I had to do a little planning to figure out how to cut the threads for the nib to screw in, as I didn't feel like buying an expensive tap.

It's a gorgeous pen, but, I think it could go without the brass band around the bottom of the pen. The end opposite the writing end, is where I mean. To me, it's a bit of a distraction from the rest of the pen.

Thanks everyone!

To each his own. The lack of balance by aggregating all the bands around the front of the pen with nothing on the back is more bothersome to me visually.
