Made it over the last two A.M.'s. It's a Kitless Ebonite fountain pen that was inspired by Sailor Pen Company's Ebonite King of Pens. So... I called my version the Prince of Pens . It has a #6 gilded medium point Bock nib. I really like this one. I could not have done this without the knowledge and encouragement from my friend, Justin, the Timebandit!!:). I had fun making the pen. Hope you like it. Doc:)

The inspiration: Sailor Pen

Simply Beautiful!

Doc, looking at the 3rd pic, I am wondering how the length of the cap is able to fit the nib and section considering the tenon on the finial also takes some space. Is there a hole in the finial tenon to provide room for the nib point? I'm still going thru this whole kitless journey and you certainly have mastered it. Again, a wonderful pen.

It IS simple and elegant, Doc.

My immediate reaction was, "looks like a pen from a big name company!!"

Then, I realized that may NOT be a compliment. Certainly speaks to your marvelous craftsmanship---but I am not sure it is where I would want to go????

Just thinking out loud, because I know you take it in the spirit it is meant.

Beautiful pen, no matter WHAT it resembles!!

Mark, Thank you ! The picture looks like there isn't enough room for the nib but I designed the cap and tenon lengths to make sure it clears. On another pen..where I want the cap shorter in appearance so the clip doesn't look so high..I will drill a conical hole in the tenon. See the picture below. Doc
