.... not only killer looking but killer on the nerves too :D

Chunks kept wanting to come out of the spinning wood and travel around the shop... lots of CA and a little bit of the 60 grit gouge were needed to save it!

Pictures don't do this wood justice... really special...

Desert Ironwood with CA finish

Thanks for looking...

Marc, DI is an entirely different beast, The cigar I did the other day gave me a fit, but it's worth the effort, I didn't have any chunks fly off, but it is a bear to finish, it really wrecks sand paper [)] I can't wait to get a couple pieces of Burl from Nolan.
For a problem pen it looks pretty good, I'm assuming your pic is what's messed up right??

Might be the photography. The finish looks slathered on, wrinkly, runny, not smooth. Hope it is better in person.

Really???

Weird... oh well, the pen looks awesome in person... perfectly smooth

Do you really think I would post a pic of a pen that I had slathered on the finish?

I have a photo tent on order... maybe that will help...
