This cigar type dressed in buckeye burl was purchased at the MPG in Illinois. Was the first time I used the 2 wheel buff to give it a little extra brilliance... with our examination there is a difference between not buffing and buffing... so it was an investment we are glad we made.

Looks awesome Ronnie!

Is the dark eye in the yellow section an inclusion you had to fill?

If so, nice job.

The finish looks really good. Great pen!

I love using Buckeye and actually look for pieces with inclusions for red coral and turquoise inlays. Inlace or just CA and coral dust/fine grains.

Beautiful pen, and I really like the kit, too... what kit is that?

Thank you Dan for the kind words... the components set was a cigar type but I don't think it had a name, maybe cigar hybrid... Exotic blanks was offering it at the MPG. You might give Ed a try... he said they were closing them out but they did have some left... hope this helps.

Thank you Mark... it really was no color fill just ca with the jel 2p-10 for the gap in those "eyes"... seems like there is a fan club needed for buckeye burl.
