Spalted maple pen/pencil set in the case. My brother wanted it as a gift to give for a friends graduation. The BLO does a nice job on the color and lines. I wasn't going to give it to him, it turned out better than I expected. Then he paid me for it....was still tough.

The Tiger maple I tried my new wood burning tool. With a little practice I'll get better at the burning.

Thank you for the compliment. For me turning two pieces of wood and sculpting it has its rewards.

Nice work! It's tough enough to turn one pen or pencil and ge it where you want it. Doing a "matched set" is four times the "trouble". But you managed to pull it off REALLY well. Excellent!

Great Set, Vakmere.
Glorious pieces of Spalted Maple.
Did you use anything to Seal after the BLO?
Great job on the burning.
Brian.

Thanks Brian. First was BLO with CA then 15 coats of CA wet sanded to 12000 MM. Then the polish.
