I made a couple of blanks like this one and had to turn one to see what it would look like. I am probably going to give it to my kid to take to school. The Cigar is a Ti. Gold with cocobolo and spalted sugar maple. the finish is about 10 coats of thin CA followed by some micro mesh and then a little Ren. wax.

That will have strong appeal to some people, and not get a second glance from others. joints all look good, and the colors and patterns are well coordinated. I like the way the peaks do not have symetry where they meet the vertical strip of cocobolo. Others may want a precision alignment of the two sides. I think of geology and fault lines in stratified rock.

Look forward to your next versions --
