I like the burl and the center band is really nice looking but I gotta ask, does the clip even work?

The problem I see with these fat slimlines is that the clip is at such an angle that it ceases to really function.

Sure it works,i just picked it up and placed it in my shirt pocket,and i have a heavy wool shirt on which makes for thicker material,just what does a clip have to do to function,,And i think the close up camera shot might make it appear fatter then it really is
