top half is blue dyed curly maple..bottom is blood wood laminated with credit cards..finish is ca/blo

Nice idea you had there...where did you get the dyed curly maple?

Did you drill the hole for the tube after the credit cards and bloodwood were laminated together? Of did you drill the hole in the credit card first.

very nice looking pen... i must say, that's one of the best ca/blo finishes i've ever seen.
did you do ca or blo first?

sandking..I glued up then drilled the blank
ahoiberg..I always go with blo first to pop the grain..then ca/blo..I only use a small amount of blo after each ca application..just a drop or two on the pad..6 coats ca/blo..micromesh, then buff with mcguires scratch and swirl remover, then buff with renwax...thanks for the favorable comments everyone
