I thought I would share my latest pen from this weekend. For some reason I was very nervous and apprehensive turning this pen. It is a Jr. Statesman roller ball with one of Tom Barron's awesome gator blanks that Ed and Dawn sell.

I will definitely be getting more of these.

Wonderful work Joe! I love the finish, shape and the way you lined up the holes!

How many coats of CA did it take for the finish?

Hi Tom,

I appreciate it. really like the gator blanks. They take more care and patience than a wood blank does. I was really nervous since this was my first one. I put 10 coats of CA and MM to 12,000. Finished with the buffing wheels.

Re: Gator blank

Joe,

Beautiful pen, great workmanship! Hope you don't mind a slight criticism, try reversing the body so the size of the tooth holes decrease in diameter from cap to the body.

Keep'em commin',

Larry
