I think this is my new favorite blank. I purchased a couple of blanks from exotic blanks a few weeks back and finally got to turn it tonight. It might end up being a gift for my mother for her 70th Birthday this weekend.

Absolutely gorgeous! I purchased 20 Concinna Burl blanks from Glowacki Timbers almost a year ago. That pen makes me want to go find them and get to work. Great Job!

Fit looks right on, and the finish is fine. Color looks light, so I suspect the photo is a little light. But the "burl" is certainly obvious from the picture.

All-in-all a really nice pen. Your mom will treasure it.

I was going to give her a pen from one of Dawn's blanks but I should have reverse painted the blank as well as the tube (I only did the tube, and the paint broke loose while turning). Needless to say it did not turn out like I wanted. This pen turned out much better.
