Was able to take advantage of the Government shutdown with some shop time. I have worked with wenge before in furniture but didn't realize how brittle the ends would be on pen tubes. Had I known I would have put wenge in the middle and the masur birch on the ends. I believe I will be working with wenge again for its beautiful grain pattern. First time with masur birch. It has great character to it as well. Thanks for looking.

WOW! That is a nice looking finish! The two woods compliment each other nicely, especially the Wenge.

Don't take this wrong. You have done good with the time off. That is an exceptional pen! Hopefully we will have a resolution soon. (I kept it non-partisan)
