Decided to try CSA's new offerings together, since I am a big blue fan. New pen, new resin blank.

Jr. Retro, closed end fountain pen in Rhodium.

A bit of commentary on the two new products. First, I have only good things to say about the Retro pen. This is a very, very nice pen. The use of the Statesman clip is a thumbs-up. It uses the same tubes and bushings as the Jr Gent/Statesman yet looks more beefy than the Jr Gent.

However, I cannot recommend the "Pen Maker's Choice" blanks IF the blank I got was a good example of this material. I will post about it in the "penturning" forum to conserve space here.

Note that the tubes are painted white or else the brass would be extraordinarily obvious.

Sorry about the two somewhat lousy pics. I was having a very BAD camera day. The pen color in the seashell pic is best representative of the blank color.

I hope CSA will offer these retros in black Ti and Gold Ti. I do not buy copper or 10K kits since they have bad durability. I like the rhodium though, very nice work, CSA, on this kit!
