Hello boys and girls. I'm glad to have a little time to turn today. I finished this Jr retro in a WW blank I got from Vick at Landfill lumber. I also finally did my first Finial to top it off. It turned out ok, but can use a little improvement in the size. Sorry for the crapy pics, I didn't want to break out the light box. As always comments welcome.

looks like the fit-n-finish looks good, nothing wrong with the finial
i love the wood, it looks great, good job.
is that some of the wood that landfilllumber has for sale in the classifieds?

Same landfill lumber, but I bought this blank a couple months back. Just now got time to do something with it. Hope this helps.

Very slick, another kit I haven't tried. The black ring put me off. Do you know if the ring can be replaced with a turned ring also?

I have seen other folks turn a matching ring to replace the stock black one. I have also seen folks take the black ring and the one above it off. Hope this helps.
