My recent back surgery brought me a really great customer....My Neurosurgeon. Can't say the surgery is worth the sales, but he's been keeping me busy. Here are 4 Jr. Gents he ordered in various burl(Rhodium/Maple, Rhodium/Black Ash, Rhodium/Amboyna, Black Ti/Sugar Maple). All burl cut by me except for the Amboyna. Finish is Craft Coat.

Great looking pens Steve!
Hard to pick a favorite of the bunch!
Looks like you have the CraftCoat finish nailed down!

Steve,
Your pens are top notch! Doc should be well pleased!

Side note: How does the Craft Coat hold up long term? Does it dull after repeated handling like a friction polish will? I have not used any yet.

I think the jury is still out on CC. It's not as durable as CA, but much more so than a friction polish. I do not think normal handling will wear it down for a very long time. It can always be repolished too. It's the closest thing I can find to CA regarding shine and build-up. It acts like a soft CA, until it's cured....easy to work out the scratches and high spots. I'm still new to it, so only time will tell.
