This is a Jr Gent that I made out of that crazy spalted oak that Rich had earlier in the year. This was a birthday gift for my mom.

That's an amazing piece of wood...I think...are you sure it's really wood??? [?][;)] The spalting pattern has made it look absolutely fascinating! What a nice present. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your kind words everyone! I really enjoy this wood in particular because every pen is very different from the last. I'll be kinda sad when I use it all up.

The quality of the workmanship is excellent. But I see the real beauty in the wood. Wood is hard to beat for beauty and functionality. I might offend some with my slogan "If you want plastic, go to Wal-Mart". But that's how I feel. With unsurpassed beauty like you show here, why use synthetics?

I have seen allot of pens from Rich's material. This is yet another fine example, good job Tom. [;)]
