I got these two blanks from Hosspen during the PITH. Prior to me sending Mike his pen, we got to know each other a bit via e-mail. He very kindly sent me a package of blanks, all wood native to his home state North Carolina, and much of which he had harvested himself. Along with the blanks he sent a note with the story or history behind each blank. It was much appreciated. Thanks again Mike, I hope I did them justice.

Also during the PITH, my other partner Arjudy, sent me a buck eye blank from his home state, which I'll be turning soon. Just a couple of reasons that made the PITH a really fun event!

You certainly did make those old chunks of wood look mighty nice. You have a knack for matchng up woods and trim to make great looking pens. I've shown the awesome "circles in the forest" pen you made for me to many of my family and friends and they are all impressed. Keep up the great work!
