Here is my first attempt at turning something other than wood. It is a Jr. Gent II wrapped in Arizona Turquoise Truestone.

The blank turned like a dream. Took it very slow and light cuts. The finish was not quite as easy as I expected. I am definitely going to explore other medium besides wood now.

In the picture where the cap is standing vertical there is a couple of white spots in the cap to the left of the blank. When I first saw that it bugged me. Thought I had severely goofed. Went back and rechecked the cap and couldn't see it. Finally realized it was a reflection of the camera flash.

Any thoughts or ideas is greatly appreciated.

Great looking pen!! Amazing color!
I had a problem with those pens and the plastic in the cap breaking out so you cant screw them together. Anyone else? What can be done about it?

Appreciate it everyone. Ive turned 4 or 5 of these and haven't had any issues with the plastic breaking in the cap.

Ruby I tend to agree with you on the the barrel. I like the barrel to be a little more full and have a slight curve like the top.
