Jr Gent in Curly maple

Bought some Redwood burl and 1 pc of curly Maple from wood128 and put it on a Jr Gent kit with a 4 sided Celtic knot done in Cocobolo in the cap. I also did the Final and the CB. I am doing away with the mandrel and bushings and having trouble getting the ends perfect thus the proud lower cap.There are around 10 coats of CA, sanded through all the pretty colored pads and then polished a few times. Something a little different from my fav Honduran Rosewood Burl.

Did you add glue to the wood ring on the centerband or just press fit it on?

Beautiful pen and wonderful finish. One of these days I'll be able to make my knot come out right and even.

Thanks all. the CB is just press fit. Glue I believe would etch the plating on the parts. Now the final I did drop a few drops of glue inside and hit it with accelerator and left the cap off for 2 days.
