I gave away the Jr. Statesman fountain pen that I was using, so I decided to "upgrade" a bit.

Rhodium/22K Jr. Emperor fountain dressed in some of my custom black PR.

beautiful pen indeed, very stylish and a classic too.
Can i just ask, is the center band put onto a tenon?

No. A Jr. Emp. is a fairly easy pen to make. The top bushings are both the same size and the bottom bushings are the same size. There are four parts to press in. The hardest thing about this pen is ponying up to pay the price for the kit. (Rhodium/22k Gold Jr Emperor Pen Kit Fountain $54.99) :frown:

At that price I don't want to "experiment" with an iffy blank. I bought two kits. I am putting one of my top-shelf ambonya burl blanks on the other one.

Well they were right about the CERN collider creating a black hole. It manifested itself into that black PR blank you made

Stunning combination, beautiful pen!
