Jr. Aaron and Irish bog oak

This is the second pen (exactly the same) which I have made for my friend. We both like the contrast offered by the black bog oak and the plating on the pen kit. This bog oak is a pleasure to work with!

However, I can't seem to get a good picture of this pen, so you only get one!

Very nice pen. I did a bog oak pen with an Orion kit (hated the kit)for a friend that is an attorney. Had a bit of trouble getting an acceptable finish on the bog oak....took me three days to get it right.

I have been using Pens Plus a lot and that's what I used on the two bog oak pens. I want to feel and see the grain on bog oak, so I put about three coats of Pens Plus at high speed. It's a matte finish, but it feels natural and couldn't be easier!
