Yeah, Dawn says make one of every pen and plating we have!!

So, dutifully I set off to work??? on this task

Well this material didn't look like much, we call it Coffee House and it shows a light brown line on the outside of the blank---big deal! But, it looks like it will match the copper kits, so I made one. It was OK, but under the 300 watt halogen, I could see the tube, so I had some "milk chocolate brown" primer paint (yep, who knew Rust-O-Leum had planned for this blank), so I painted tubes and holes and waited a day for them to dry.

Today was "turning day"---MAN WAS I surprised!!

This is a NICE looking pen!!

Looks great Ed. The only thing to me is that the kit looks gold in the pics. It's really hard to tell its copper. You COULD work that to your advantage and tell Dawn "Oops...guess I gotta spend more time in the shop today..." :wink::biggrin:

This is the "quick and dirty" photo setup. I had too many other things to do to take a half hour off and make pics.

(I am working on a tutorial YouTube -- how to make a fountain pen baron---somebody told me my instructions were terrible)

Its not obvious to me so I have to ask... What is the model of pen for that one? It looks like a Gold Jr Gent. Does the Jr Gent come in Copper now?
