鸡翼木頭, Jichimu or Chicken Wing Wood was one of the most desired timbers used by the Ming and Qing period chinese cabinet makers. If you are fortunate to be able to afford a piece of chinese classical furniture in this timber you are perhaps very well off as a piece of furniture in Jichimu will set you back at least 20-100 thousand $ Andys sensative treatment of this blank has allowed the antiquity of the timber to show through revealing the quality of it. It was cut from an old part of a piece of classical chinese furniture a leg in fact an old single leg which would have been part of a large Jichimu table painting table. I do have a number of Rare timbers cut into pen blanks including genuine Jichimu, Huanghuali and the jadelike Tzu-t'an for trade or sale
