Sound like an Asian comedy team? This is one of Gary Peck's kits with a piece of Jichi I got from him. The finial is turned from a Tagua nut (vegetable ivory). 7 coats of CA/BLO, turned without tubes.

Comments and criticisms welcome.

To be fair, I took the image into Photoshop and adjusted the saturation a bit to make it look more like it does in daylight. The wood changes in the light to a remarkable degree -- in incandescent light it has an almost reddish/orange look but in daylight it looks almost purple.
