Made this morning. This is Tru-Stone Jasper over a Rinehart pen kit.
Turned fairly easily. Sanded from 150 to 600 grit. MicroMesh, wet, from 1200 to 12000. Followed with HUT Plastic Polish and Ren Wax. I hope everyone has a great weekend and thanks so much for looking. Doc:)

Doc, your fit and finish is spot on.....just not to sure about the components used.

Roy,
The Rinehart pen kit with the "lug nut look" seems to make picking a blank for the kit a bit more difficult. I think it would be neat to have a hexagonal barrel. I'm trying to decide whether to get a mill attachment for my metal lathe.

Roy,
I have not been really satisfied with the look of the Rinehart pen with many materials and decided that the only thing that could help is a hexagonal barrel. I have one Rinehart kit left and it's a toss up whether to get a mill attachment for my metal lathe.

Beautiful finish and fit! I keep hoping the hex shape of the fittings will grow on me -- not yet though :).
