Black line spalted Japanese Maple root on Rollester. I started to get all these little holes when I was turning it and decided to enlarge them all with a micro drill and filled them with copper powder.

Finish is CA.

Very cool looking blank, I love the effect of the copper powder. It really made a beautiful pen. Great fit and finish.

That's a beautiful piece of spalted maple! I really like the solid black lines running through it. The lines are very well defined.

I made an Elegant Sierra out of a similar piece. Not sure where I got it, but only remember that it was spalted maple with the same solid black spalted lines...problem was that I couldn't identify which type of maple it was. I think I have my answer :)

Anyway great pen!
