Here's a pen I have been struggling with for a long time. I had been trying to make my own segments from cutting slices off blanks that I cast and had lots of failures. Basically due to the slices not being exactly the same thickness. I couldn't get the slices any closer than .005 or so difference. Combined with multiple slices makes too much error.

Searched for a long time to find segmenting acrylic in all the colors I needed and of 1/8 and 1/4 inch thickness, and couldn't find anything I liked.

Finally decided to check my go to hardware supply online merchant -

McMaster-Carr

Jackpot!

I know. I forget that they have everything! I also bought some plastic for molds too. Need to buy some other colors of segments. BTW, they have nice blue for your thin blue line pens. I picked some up too.

That came out awesome. I am trying to do something very similar and having the same troubles. I looked on McMaster Carr and I guess I am not to sure what to look under. Help Me out, how do find the different colors sheets about a 1/8 to 1/4 thick. Thanks.
