interesting bark left on in NH

This is a Stabilized and Dyed Red Spalted Maple with some bark left on. It makes an interesting look!

Got some Rock Maple with bark that I've been waiting on some spalt, but I'm thinking it's just way to hard....could only hope it turns out to look like this!!

Nicely turned, did the bark need any 'help' to keep it in place?

I stabilized it with Cactus Juice and worked softly! It held up just fine.
