I only had a single blank of this silver/gray lucite, so the pen is a little shorter than my usual and will only take an international sized cartridge. But given the wide array of colors just in the Private Reserve line (to say nothing of other brands of ink), that shouldn't be much of a problem. The inlaid strips are Mediterranean Waters Rhino plastic.

Thanks for looking.

Impressive to get that many grooves that close and keep it in one piece. Did you use a jig for the router combined with the indexing feature on the lathe?

My question also. How did you do the grooves???

The grooves (and the inlays) were cut with a CNC mill. If I was really good at G code, I'd program for the inlays to have curved ends so that they would match the contour of the groove. But, being committed to doing things the hard way, I cut straight strips and shape the curved ends by hand.

To answer Brooks' question, the barrel is 7.5cm, juuuust a little short for a converter.
