Imperial Pens NittanyLion Maple Burl in NH

Here are 2 that I churned out today. The first is Spalted Hackberry. This is the last piece from a chunk that I purchased ;>( I will need to look for some more. The second is NittanyLion Maple Burl. Steves burls are about as good as they get. Thanks Steve..

Actually Steve your burl make the Maple Burl pen. That is some awesome burl. Best I have ever seen.

I am allergic to regular CA so I use Doctors WoodShop finishes they are great. I have a metal lathe but use a Jet 1221 for my pens. I have a tutorial in the finishing thread that gives tips on using this finish. I don't necessarily do my finishing the same way as that tutorial but you can get good tips from it.

Beautiful work. Makes me want to keep practicing. Those blanks are really nice. Do you use a metal lathe? CA finish?
