I did this concava without the concave because of the blank but I really like this kit... There is a tiny split that I had to fix after I took the picture. But it is still a nice pen.

Looks good without the concave top blank. Kind of reminds me of a cigar pen. Beautiful wood you used.

That really looks great so much better then the concave top which I have to say just doesn't appeal to me. Yours is the unconcave.

Smitty, that looks really nice. I do like the pen without the concave turning for the top. It is like a modified cigar. Nice job!

I like the tip a lille better than the cigar and I think it has a nicer cap/clip. It's a little smaller than the cigar also but I really like the 2 step centerband. I think with it being 7mm except for the tip you have a lot more wood to play with than with a cigar particularily the top end has lots of wood.

I filled it with CA..it's solid but still lends a little character to the wood.

I think so. I've never had a 7mm kit appeal to me as much as this one.
