Is grapevine very difficult to turn? I imagine that it requires stabilization/CA, is there anything else that needs to be done? Living where I do, I'm pretty sure I could get a large amount of grapevine fairly easily.

Actually it turned pretty easy, I did put a coat of thin CA on it when I got close to the size that I wanted.

Louis, yeah, when my wife saw it she asked me to turn it so she could see the final result. Thanks for the blank.

grapevine is easy when it does not contain voids. I have used Grapevine burl before and it is a pain to work with. There are many voids to fill and refill while turning. also a good place to get some is home depot it is sold near the plants

You made the grapevine look good........................................ you have improved a bunch over the past few months. I really liked the cedar box that you was working on last Thursday. Have you finished it?
