Heres my snakewood pen, it was from the trade wood for a pen offer:

The person who made it, Meackerman, said he had no cracking problems with the snakewood I sent, and I turned some myself and had no problems.
So that helps me reason with whether our kiln dried snakewood doesn't crack - I'm careful with it anyways.
I sent other snakewood bits out for pens, maybe this is a good chance to test it?
