What kind of wood is that?

Buckey I think. It showed up in a chord of firewood we purchased.

Oh, and I dunno about priorities, but this was my last chance to turn something till I've moved because I'm crating the lathe up tomorrow.

Very nice turning. I like how its a smooth transition from the kit to the wood. Has a nice flow to it in my opinion.

I am also a victim of the summer move. We moved in June and due to work, soccer, etc. I have just had the opportunity to get back out there this week.

Oh I lived in Portland for 12 years. When the bottom fell out of everything I moved back to texas to be near family for a bit, take a hiatus... but it's time to get back home:)
