Nice job on that pen. I like the blank as well, it really sets off the antique brass. Turned one in a green acrylic and was pleased with it. I believe I will try another in amboyna burl.

Really nice looking pen, Jason. Fit and finish are spot on.

Considering the other posts about the Celtic component set, did you encounter any problems along the way?

Never encountered any problems. The fit was pretty tight though, I did "ream" out the end of the brass just a shade to take the square edge off it. I also made sure I went slow with the pressing in (it was a tight fit).

Nice wood.

What do you think of the green finial? It's plastic I assume?

Thanks
Its plastic and seemed pretty sloppy on the glue in. There was glue leaking out around one side of it that needed to be trimmed.

There is also two small drops of what looks like glue on the nib, I never scraped it off yet, but it wont come off with my fingernail. I think it may be under the plating. Will attempt a fix or repair today. I noticed it under the light when I was taking pictures.

Overall, its a nice kit and fun to make.
