Here is one of the pens I finished this week. The artdeco, thank goodness the tubes are so large, this allowed me to remove a lot of the weight otherwise it would weigh a ton. I had to start with a 7/8" Damascus billet. Hope you like it ...I do.

Very nice! I like it. Just wondering, is it possible to make a convex shape (bulge) on the metal lathe or just flat?

That is a pretty pen! The black and silver (black and steel?) keeps the Damascus from overwhelming the art nouveau style of the pen.

I really enjoy seeing your pens!:)

It's possible to make a convex shape, but it isn't easy. One can do it with files and or sanding. Or, you can modify the lathe to trace a pattern that will allow cutting curved surfaces. The items below were cut on a manual metal lathe using a tracing modification in acrylic and aluminum.
