This is a beautiful pen, and your other work is also!

If I could offerer a suggestion: I think it would help showcase them if you had more lighting.

While I do NOT choose for the front page display, (Jeff does), with better lighting, I feel this work would qualify for that presentation.

That is beautiful material you are working. The time and effort to make that stuff is well rewarded with pens like this. Nice job and thanks for showing.

If I could learn just one more skill, then it would be to make Damascus or Mokume Gane metal work (ok ok...two more skills:biggrin: )

Don't like the kit, but love the blank.

Do you make blanks for sale?

Hi Vincent, sorry I can't attach a pic to a PM. I hope you can identify the material in the Mokume Gane pen. A good friend sent me both the Mokume Gane and the Damascus blanks. He wanted me to turn the Mokume for him and gifted me the Damascus for doing it.

I put his Mokume on a Jr Statesman and made mine custom.

I would like to get a rough guestimate on getting a similar Mokume Gane blank or two.
I guess the blank would be around 15mm x 15mm x 200mm.

I hope this post doesn't violate the rules, and apologies again for hijacking your thread.

Please pm me

Thanks

Vince, I just found your web site and can say without doubt that you are an amazing craftsman. I watched the video and you made the making of that leaf look like child's play.

Too cool.

Vincent, you sir are RED hot. Breathtaking blank. Nothing else like it. Terrific match for the pen kit. Now....sell the pen for a fortune as it deserves...and buy a LIGHT !
