I turned this for a practice pen before I used something pretty, it's just a old piece I had lying around. it's HRB on a Rhodium Jr. Gentleman
not having turned many pens of late. I had more than a little trouble with the CA finish, 10 coats Thin, 3 coats Med. I got to do the lower barrel twice. Way too much fun on this thing the HRB button top was the easiest thing on this. It does have a good bit of chatoyance when it's rolled in the light, I think I got this stuff from a former member Rodney Rice. The guy sure used to get some great timber.
Comments welcome, but I know the Photos suck big time, so don't yell at the wind.

Very Nice! I love the swirls in the grain and the wood "button" on top, it really adds a touch of extra class to the whole pen.

Great work, Ken. If this is the wood and kit you use for practice, I can't wait to see what you're warming up for.
