Default "An Hommage To Autumn"

New casting blank. Dried seed pods in orange Alumilite. Pen is Sierra Ballpoint in Titanium
Not for the faint of heart this blank requires a light touch, sharp tools, and patience as you fill voids and surprises.

Thanks for looking
Mike

Beautiful pen. I'm not familiar with that orange pod. From which tree/bush does it hail?

From somewhere in India. I found them at a craft store.

Nice pen. From the looks of the blank I can see that it was a challenge to turn!

John you are correct.

Running a new batch now. This time I stabilized the pods first so they would soak up less resin hopefully and be a bit gentler on the turner.
