Having a try at casting my own; man, is this a blast[8D]
Almost as addictive as turning!
A big thanks to those here who have shared information on
the process.
Here are a few for starters; Comments/opinions welcome
and thanks for looking at my plastic!

Like the other folks said, the one in the middle takes the best picture. That said, I wonder if in person if the top one might not be the most impressive? How did you get that 'wrinkele' finish effect on it. I can tell that you have it sanded smooth.

They all look real good!

Everyone above is wrong- the top and the bottom ones are the best! [:D][:D] Those two are very pretty!

OK, so all the people who like that one best just happen to be male... Maybe sex is important here!

The middle one is nice but my eye is drawn to the bottom one.
There is just something about it that attracts me to it.

Yes, I am aware of that.Bruce Boone comes to mind immediately!
Do you do any cnc,at work or home?
I have made cnc part of my user-name as a bit of a hook,
since I have been making a living from cnc programming and machining
for a while (15+ years).Toolmaker apprentice at 17 and drifted
into cnc a few years later, have not been able to escape since.
The cnc lathe has crossed my mind.
I program and run it and 6 cnc mills.
(not all by myself,I have 3 "helpers")
BUT usually so busy at work no play time.Maybe someday.
However, back to point,my pens are all done on a Jet mini at home,
with good old PSI tools.[;)]

Dan Symonds on yahoo does his pens on a CNC. I have a minimill that I converted to a 4 axis cnc. I have done a few tests but nothing I can say is complete.

This is a Celtic anniversary pen that I need to finish.

This is a pen where I made a flame design on the bottom and cast pewter onto the ebonite blank. The top angle is also hand cast pewter.

It's important over here too. [:I] [)]

Yeah, it's important to lots of folks I hear! [:D][:D]

Please note that I refrained from commenting on Johnny's "thanks for looking at my plastic!" right above where the top picture is, which incidentally could look like a precursor to the blob pen...
