As promised in my introduction in August, here now my latest results.
The stack of the herringbone was glued according to the tutorial of darrin1200 (many thanks for that really helpful tutorial!). It took some weeks of work to prepare the stack - while i only could work occasionally in my shop.
I used a kit (GC200) from Gerhard Christmann.
C & C welcome.
Greetings from Germany,
Simon

Simon .......Great job on the pen. Beautiful results. Have you tried using Titebond Translucent Glue ? Not sure it is available in Germany, but this glue is very sticky and fast setup. I use it in all my segmenting work.
Joe
I used glue from a brand which is in Germany very familiar to woodworkers called "Ponal", don't know if it is available in the US. The one i used ( fast & fix) has a very short setup time and fills small spaces better than CA glues and does not need a special clamping only a short pressure with the fingers is enough.
Nevertheless the quality of titebond is also known here. It is on my list for one of my next orders. For the moment i am sufficently equipped with glues in my shop.
