Very nice looking pen. Is the nib slightly larger than the wood or is that one of those goofy photo things that sometimes happen?

William, the original intent was to show the pen in the holder as one unit.
This does give people a better look at the pen itself.

Gerry, it's one of those goofy photo things...I think it is picking up a shadow from something. The wood actually blends very well into the nib. Can't explain it.
