I found this blank in a drawer today. It was tubed and drilled. I scratched my head for about ten minutes trying to figure out why it never got to be a pen. I vaguely remembered making it about a year ago. Slowly it came back to me. I had made two blanks, both with the same design, with brass and bubinga. While turning or drilling them I had managed to blow up the lower barrel of one blank and the upper barrel of the other blank.

So today I put a finish on them and called it my new carry pen

I just ran out and looked in all the drawers in my shop. Noooooothing. I never find anything good.

Very nice pen. Excellent work.

Fantastic looking pen. I truly love it.

(I just wish I could scroll saw that cleanly and smoothly to get those crisp lines where the brass is inserted.)

I found a set of blanks like that in my mail one day, I turned it and have carried it nearly every day since then, it never fails to elicit comments usually Ooohs and Awwws, and the occasional how the H#ll.
