John and I were drawn in 2 consecutive swaps. We were paired in the Olympic pith in November and just before shipping this week found we were paired again for December kitless. No big deal, one trade for 2 months frees up some time to start working on the Birthday Bash Pens.
I recieved a kitless click, never seen anything like it and I have no idea how he made it all work. I would like to know myself. It is one that went in my daily rotation as I want to show it off. He will have to better tell you about the workings of it. HE also sent me a few nice blanks to add to my ever growing collection.
I decided that I would do something a bit different from any swap I had done. Beings that I love the Olympics I wanted a theme for what I gave him. Once I had decided on the theme I started 1st on the Curling stone turned from corian and then carved the handle. The pen is made to look like the broom. That was fun to make. I used Mexican redheart and alumalite. Then it needed a course to play on so looked a piece of maple and Found on Shop Floor wood that I decaled.
