The pattern on the barrel of this pen is the same as one I entered in the MBP contest. The cap is made from a polyester resin marketed as "metallic red," but is actually much closer to a bronze or a copper.

Substantial, it is definitely for those who prefer a heavy pen.

Care to share how you made the diamond pattern?

Thank you! The engraving is done on a CNC mill. The engraving piece is easy -- chuck it up, zero the bit, and flip a switch. It's writing the G code that's a pain!

Yes.... ive watched others punch code into bridgeports before now but not had a go myself as yet. Will no doubt one day convert my little sieg mill into CNC and have a play with it then, though for now il stick to C++ code :biggrin:
