Went to the dentist this week for my regular check-up. I've made several pens for my hygienist and the dentist has bought 1 out my pocket. He has been a bit jealous of the smiley pen I made for her and wanted his own. I rarely make the same pen for someone close as the original loses some of the special nature. Unbeknownst to him, before he walked in, the hygienist had already commissioned a happy tooth for his birthday. Charlie's resin saver mold made easy work on this double cast.

Double cast? Is there a tutorial for that? Nice pen btw:)
No tutorial, but quite simply first cast is the background (blue) which is turned to near final diameter, followed by carving out inlay and recasting in second color (white).

That is awesome!!....never thought of that. Bet your carving skills came in handy. Super job Bruce!! Doc.
