This pen was supposed to be a Jr. Gent. I was attempting to put my "Unraveled" design on a six sided blank. Cutting for the inlays on the scroll saw, while a bit tricky, went well. Drilling the blank didn't go so well and I blew up the upper barrel. I think it was because the Redwood Burl is so soft.

Fortunately I am in the habit of drilling the shorter upper barrel first, so I was able to successfully drill the longer lower barrel for a Sierra. The pattern repeats six times around the blank.

This pen is a gift for a lady who recommended a couple of clients to my wife.

Thanks for looking. Your comments are appreciated.

Wow, Keith!
What a beautifully designed pen. Quite a nice accident, huh? Now when you go to make that Jr. Gent, it will be unmistakably brilliant!

Nice accident Keith, Maybe I should dig my blown up blank out of the trash and see if I can drill the rest for a Sierra. You always inspire me to try something new, got any tips for corian??
