Half Sparkle!

The top of the sparkle blank failed but I improvised. Not sure if I like the black red look but I can always make another sparkle top blank

Nice job on the sparkle Michele!
I think the black over red works but personally, I think the antique finish on the pen just doesn't quite play well with the blank combination.
Just my thoughts as I study the pic.

Thanks Charlie...to be honest with you, I was trying to dis-assemble the pen last night and use a shiny silver but I couldn't knock the center band insert out. I tried but was damaging the plastic piece so I put back together and used the antique brass...

I love it! The whimsical red and the chic black compliment each other well. The black, I'd say, takes it to another class.

Michele, IMHO I would leave the pen as is. Putting a sparkle top on would make the colors too busy for the rest of the pen.

I think it looks great as is! Even better with the sparkles on the bottom and the black on top. If it were reversed I don't think I'd like it as much.
